A good, 18th century Dutch brown slate sink

A solid, rectangular sink with curved front corners. Carved out of a dark bronze colour slate. Elaborate bolection moulding on the front. Beautiful, chiseled finish on the body. A few, unobtrusive knocks and scuffs. Wear consistent with age and use. Structurally sound and perfectly water tight.

Inner height of the basin: 8,5cm / 3.35"

Diameter drain hole: 5,5cm / 2.15"

Salvaged from a town house in 's Hertogenbosch, Southern Netherlands, ca. 1750
