A highly decorative and rare, 18th century pharmacy mortar. Carved in "Sarrancolin Jaune" marble.
Circular tapered body with four handles. Small chip missing on one of the handles. One small superficial crack at the bottom not affecting the structure. Otherwise in fine condition according to its use and age.
