AN 18TH CENTURY "PIERRE DURE" STONE SINK

An oblong, break front "Pierre dure" stone sink with central oval basin. Beautiful layered structure of the stone. Convex moulded body adorned with finely carved festoons. Minor unobtrusive chip missing on the right upper rim as visible on the pictures. Unfinished lateral ends, as they would be have been inserted in the wall.

No cracks or breaks, wear consistent with age and use. Structurally perfectly sound and water tight. Drain hole can accommodate any standard unslotted basin waste.

Depth of the basin 11,5cm.
