A rare, 18th century Dutch stone sink

SOLD

Reference N°:

302-26

A rare and characterful 18th-century Dutch sink, expertly carved from deep black “Petit Granit” limestone, distinguished by its natural inclusions of fine white crystals and fossil traces. The façade is enriched with a finely executed recessed cartouche.

The entire piece displays a crisp, hand-chiseled finish, showcasing the craftsmanship of the period. Honest wear and minor edge losses are present, consistent with age and long use, including a small loss to the upper rear edge. (please refer to pictures)

Structurally sound and free from cracks or breaks, the basin remains fully functional, with a smoothly finished interior base ensuring effective water drainage.
