An early 18th century black marble basin of elegant oval form with a deep, bowl-shaped body. The surface is finely hand-chiseled and displays a rich, naturally worn patina.

There is minor surface wear and small chips to the rim, entirely consistent with age and historical use, which contribute to its antique appeal. No cracks or repairs; the basin is structurally sound.
