A mid-18th century, square stone font

A finely carved square font in black pierre de l’Aisne, distinguished by its natural white veining and small fossil inclusions. The upper edge is enriched with a well-defined moulding, while the front displays a delicate chiseled finish above a bolection moulding at the base. A functional and sculptural piece, showing light wear consistent with age and use, with minor unobtrusive losses. Structurally sound and in excellent, usable condition.
