An elegant French oval font, dating to the mid-18th century, finely carved from rich green vert d’Estours marble. The body is moulded with softly rounded contours, displaying the subtle depth and veining characteristic of this sought-after marble.
The surface bears light wear consistent with age and use, with some expected abrasion to the body and interior basin. A few small, unobtrusive chips are present along the rim (see photographs for detail), though the piece remains free of cracks or structural weakness. Overall, the font is sound, stable, and retains its refined profile and historical character.
