An early 18th century, olive brown stone sink

Reference N°:

250

An early 18th-century olive brown stone sink of notable character and craftsmanship. The stone exhibits a rich, earthy olive-brown tone, subtly enlivened by natural white veining that traces irregular patterns across the surface. The sink features a central, oval basin smoothly hollowed into the stone, with a gently recessed, bowed front that lends a sense of softness and elegance to the overall form.

The body has a hand-hammered finish, adding texture and historic authenticity. Signs of age and use are evident in the surface wear, small chips, and minor losses typical of the stone’s layered composition. A visible loss is present on the upper rim at the left front edge, contributing to the piece’s timeworn charm without compromising its structural integrity.

Despite its age, the sink remains structurally sound, retaining its functional form and distinctive aesthetic.
