An 18th century, Belgian black marble sink

Reference N°:

245

An elegant and rare, 18th-century rectangular sink carved from deep black "Bleu Belge" marble, distinguished by its rich, dark tonality with subtle bluish undertones. The central feature is an oval basin, smoothly hollowed, surrounded by a subtly lowered drain board, allowing water to flow efficiently toward the basin.

The surface of the marble body is finely chiseled throughout. The edges of the sink bear several small losses and nicks. Light wear and a softened patina consistent with 18th-century use enhance the authentic character of the piece. Structurally sound and water tight
