An 18th century urn-shaped stone font

A rare, early 18th century urn-shaped stone font. Two sculpted handles rise from the body of the urn, in the form of scrolls. The bowl is plain and unadorned, with a smooth, moulded rim and slight taper toward the base. Carved from "Petit Granit" stone, showing the inclusion of small fossils and white crystals.. The surface is subtly textured, showing signs of use and patina. Excellent condition, no cracks or breaks, a few unobtrusive chips on the upper rim and base. (please refer to pictures)
