A rare, 18th century "Bleu Belge" oval marble sink

A very large, oval marble sink with beautiful moulding on the front. Carved out of "Belgian Blue" marble, once quarried in the South of present-day Belgium.

In very good condition. A few, unobtrusive chips on the front and upper rim. Small losses on the body (please refer to pictures). Wear consistent with age and use. No cracks or breaks. Structurally sound.

Rescued from a property close to the city of Namur, Belgium, 2nd half 18th century
