A substantial, 18th century Dutch limestone sink

Reference N°:

A large, rectangular black stone sink featuring a beautifully carved bolection moulding on the front and lateral sides. Very fine chiseled finish on the body and inner surface. An ancient, shallow conduit carved at the back of the bottom to allow a perfect water drainage. Structurally sound, generally in excellent, usable condition. Some light wear on the upper edge, consistent with age and use. The sink was carved out Belgian "Petit granit" limestone. The stone shows the typical inclusion of small, white marine fossils and shells and two larger white crystals on the front and back edge
