A substantial, 18th century Dutch limestone sink

A very large, rectangular Dutch limestone sink. Beautifully carved bolection moulding on the upper edge. Very fine chiseled finish all over the body. In excellent, usable condition. No cracks or breaks, structurally perfectly sound and water tight. A few chips and small, unobtrusive losses on the rim (please refer to pictures), wear consistent with age and use. The inner surface of the sink is smooth and allows a perfect water drainage.

Rescued from an estate in Zeeland, Southern Netherlands, ca. 1750
