A rare, early 18th century, circular marble font

A substantial, nicely worn, bowl shaped marble font. Intricate, chiseled finish on the body. Some light wear, small losses and chips on the upper rim, overall in very good condition. No cracks or breaks. Old drainage hole at the bottom. Smooth surface of the basin, allowing an easy water drainage.

East of France, ca. 1700-1730
