An elegant, rectangular "Rouge Turquin" marble sink. Elaborate "cavetto" moulding on the body with cut off corners. Carved out of beautifully veined Rouge Turquin marble. Some small losses and chips on the upper rim, one small loss on the inner back edge (please refer to pictures). Wear consistent with age and use. Good structural condition and water tight.

Rescued from a town house in Toulouse, Southern France, ca. 1800-1820
