A rare, 18th century Breccia marble sink

A rectangular marble sink with ogee moulding on the front. Carved out of a highly decorative French, breccia marble. Small loss on the front, left corner. The lateral sides are roughly hewn as they were meant to be built into the wall. Some small, unobtrusive chips and scuffs on the body and edges. Wear consistent with age and use. In very good condition, structurally sound and water tight.

Inner height basin: 11cm / 4.3"

Rescued from a town house close to Toulouse, Southern France, ca. 1750-1780
