A substantial, 17th c. scallop marble sink

A rare, scallop shaped marble sink, flanked by two lateral drain boards. The high quality of the carving clearly indicates that this piece was created by an artist-sculptor. The body beautifully adorned with gadroons. Some unobtrusive wear, a few knocks and scuffs, but generally in excellent, usable condition. No cracks or breaks.
