A substantial 18th c. Rouge Royal marble sink

An exceptional, very large scale marble kitchen sink. Beautiful bolection moulding on the top edge. Carved out of the highly decorative "Rouge Royal" marble. A few small chips, scuffs and knocks, but generally in excellent, usable condition. The marble has a natural worn surface consistent with age and use (please refer to pictures) No cracks or breaks, structurally perfectly sound and water tight. Diameter drain hole: 4,5cm/ 1.8in. Any modern basin waste will fit.

Salvaged from a mansion close to Maastricht, Southern Netherlands, ca. 1750
