A rare, late 18th century Belgian limestone sink

A nicely worn, rectangular black limestone sink with white veins and crystal inclusions. Beautifully carved "rope" moulding on the upper edge with cut away front corners. Delicate hammered and chiseled finish on the body. A few chips and small losses on the bottom edge (please refer the pictures), otherwise in very good, usable condition. The inner surface is smooth and allows a perfect water drainage. Structurally sound and perfectly water tight.
